Ramp Mini-sites FAQs

Team Mini-sites as offered on our RAMP website.

From Lynne - Crowfoot Administrator, October 18th:

- Team Names.
If you would like your team name on the website, email Lynne, admin@crowfoothockey.com, and I'll add this in.
- Login and Password
If you would like a different login and password, I can make that change for you.  Email me at admin@crowfoothockey.com and let me know what you would like these items changed to.

Lynne

Each Manager has now received a login id and password for your team site from Lynne, Hockey Administrator.   Once you are logged in, there is a instruction manual found on the top right hand corner (in blue lettering) for you to read and/or download.

The Family Accounts are now called 'RAMP BOOK'.  The player must have been inputted by a team in order to activate the player.  Parents then sign on to RAMP BOOK and make their own account.  They will search for their child(ren) to pull in their information into the family account.  If you have children with Girls Hockey Calgary, NWCAA, or Northstars Hockey and they are inputted on their respective teams, you can draw in this child's information also.  This RAMP BOOK will also allow you to input your own family information on to the one calendar.  Player files are controlled as the parent will be asked security questions.  If you wish for a relative to 'become a fan' and have access to your family account, they will be asked security questions also and the parent will need to approve the 'fan' request.

As this feature is new to the Association, Managers, please forward to me your RAMP questions and/or information that you feel other managers will find useful.

From Manager, Brian Cuch, this document provided to parents once player data was inputted onto the site.  RAMP info for parents.
This email message sent to parents with the attached 'RAMP info for parents'.

Players and schedules have been loaded in the RAMP program that Crowfoot has purchased for all teams to use this year.  Getting started instructions are attached to this email.  Please register in RAMP as soon as possible and then update the availability of your hockey player once you have access.  Thanks.

Thanks to Nancy Dietterle - PeeWee 2 manager who has brought forth the information below.

Here is bit more info I have discovered with RAMP.

Administrators cannot check off the privacy box for players if they want a Roster on their webpage.

I have changed the player settings on our website and the Roster tab has now been populated.

You must have a RAMPbook account (can be set up off the Crowfoot website), and you must have 'Athlete Profile Control' of your players account in order to access player information.

Do this by "searching" for your players name (after you have set up a RAMPBook account) - Enter the player name exactly as it shows on the Roster list, then click on Request Control.

You will get an email titled RAMPbook ... Request Submission, and then in about 24 hours you will get an email titled RAMPBook ... Request Approved.

I think I have figured out the RAMPbook RSVP system.

Once you have control of your players profile, you should then be able to access your players schedule.  You can RSVP to each calendar item by entering the UPCOMING EVENTS tab and selecting one of the three attendance buttons ATTENDING, TENTATIVE or NOT ATTENDING.

Thanks, I hope you have success in setting everything up

Nancy/PeeWee 2 Manager

Re - RAMPBook - Family Account features:
Here's what I have figured out through trial and error. It takes about 24 hours from the time you set up your players (as an administrator), to the time a Family account can search that same player.  From what I understand the members of your team will receive an email from RAMP saying their player exists.  This will happen as long as you (the administrator) have entered an email address in the players information.

It will also take about 24 hours for a Family account to gain "control" or their Athlete's Profile once they have searched it successfully and requested control.

** Just to warn you - if you have families with multiple Crowfoot players, you may get emails from them saying "I can only find Bobby and not Suzie? WHY?"

It all seems to be time sensitive to when each player was loaded into RAMP, so I just told those people they needed to be patient.

Here is what I sent out to my team after the Players were loaded in RAMP (and I could "search" them successfully).

Once you have a RAMPBook login you should be able to search for your player.

To set up a RAMPBook Login, click on RAMPBook Login on the Crowfoot website main page (bottom left), click on Don't have an account? Register now. and follow the instructions.

get Athlete Control "search" for your players name within your RAMPBook account - Enter the player name exactly as it shows on our Roster list, then click on Request Control.  You will get an email titled RAMPbook ... Request Submission, and then in about 24 hours you will get an email titled RAMPBook ... Request Approved. Within your family account you should be able to RSVP:

Once you have control of your players profile, you should then be able to access your players schedule.  You can RSVP to each calendar item by entering the UPCOMING EVENTS tab and selecting one of the three attendance buttons ATTENDING, TENTATIVE or NOT ATTENDING.

I hope you have success with this.  I didn't at first but it is becoming easier as the hours go by!

Nancy
